The tour begins at the northern footbridge of the “voie douce”, at Pas du Saunier. The tour leads to the Tympanum, the centerpiece of the Pesquiers hydraulic network, built to the north of the saltworks.
As you explore, you’ll learn about the role of this installation in water management and its importance to the operation of the saltworks. Carefully restored, the Tympanum today bears witness to the technical know-how and industrial organization that have left a lasting mark on the site’s landscape and history.
