The experience
The Mémorial du Débarquement et de la Libération en Provence offers a guided urban stroll through Toulon city center. Supervised by a team of mediators, this tour allows you to discover the city through the traces left by the Second World War.
Along the way, you’ll explore local history through the memories of local residents and the observation of Toulon’s urban heritage. From daily life under the Occupation to the fighting for the Liberation of Toulon, the sites you visit illustrate the different stages of this period.
The walk highlights monuments, squares and emblematic buildings from a historical and educational angle.
