The experience
The Mémorial du Débarquement et de la Libération en Provence offers a guided urban stroll through downtown Toulon. Led by mediators, this tour explores the events leading up to the city’s liberation in August 1944.

Along the way, you’ll discover places marked by the fighting and the testimonies of combatants, members of the Resistance and local residents. Monuments, squares and buildings take on a historical dimension, providing a better understanding of the traces left in the urban landscape.
