The experience
The Mémorial du Débarquement et de la Libération en Provence offers a guided urban stroll through Toulon city center. Led by mediators, this tour invites you to discover the city in a different way, through the traces left by the Second World War.
Along the way, you'll explore the themes of reconstruction and remembrance, combining local history, local memory and observation of the city's urban heritage. Monuments, squares and emblematic buildings are approached from a historical and educational angle.
Lasting around 1h30, the walk is enhanced by content from the Bavart app. Accessible free of charge via geolocation, it provides historical information, audio testimonials and period photographs for each stage of the tour.
