The best way to discover Toulon is to take the cable car up to Mont Faron. The only one of its kind on the Mediterranean coast, the cable car with its pretty red cabin takes you to the top of Toulon’s most famous mountain in just 6 minutes. On board, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills, the city, the harbor, the islands and the Mediterranean.

Once you’ve arrived, the Provence Landing Memorial is just a few dozen meters away. Experience, almost day by day, the progress of the Allies who liberated Provence in 1944, thanks to an immersive and moving scenography. The memorial is one of 9 “hauts lieux de la mémoire nationale” organized by the French Ministry of Defense.

Please note: the cable car may be closed on windy days. It is advisable to contact the cable car reception desk beforehand (04 94 92 68 25).
Your dog can ride the cable car with you free of charge as long as it’s on a leash, but is not allowed inside the Memorial.

* Under 19s, students, PRMs, jobseekers, RSA, CMU, ONACVG and Ministry of the Armed Forces personnel, holders of a professional card (teacher, press, tourism, guide-conférencier), “large family” card, “Cezam” card: you benefit from a preferential rate. You can purchase a return cable car ticket on our website, and admission to the memorial directly on site.

Opening hours:
The Memorial is open every day except Christmas and May 1st.
June to September: 10am > 12:30pm – 1:15pm > 6:30pm (non-stop in July and August)
October to May: 10am > 12:30pm – 1:15pm > 5:15pm
Last admissions 30 minutes before closing.
