Plunge into the heart of the forests, scramble between the pines, set course for the summits: by the sea on the coastal path, on a balcony on the hills, in the heart of the vineyards, on shady paths or with a panoramic view of the islands, our destination is tailored to your desires for nature, whether you’re hiking solo, with friends or family.

Faron, Toulon’s giant
– Toulon
From the top station of the cable car, at the summit of Mont Faron, head for the Point Sublime. A spectacular view of Toulon, its port, the harbor and the islands unfolds before your eyes: an unmissable photo spot. The path then takes you to the Centre barracks, then to the sanctuary of Notre-Dame du Faron, housed in a former powder magazine, and culminating in the memorial to the Provence landings.
Hyères, a dream walk around La Madrague
– Hyères, Giens
On the Giens peninsula, this coastal trail loop skirts the cliffs between coves, beaches, small ports and islets. Along the way, admire the Pointe des Chevaliers and Escampo Barriou. Picnic break or swim under the pine trees overlooking the sea? Hike in the morning or at sunset, when the light sublimates the Fourmigues andIle Longue.
du Brusc au Gaou, between lagoons and the Peninsula
– Six-Fours-les-Plages
Between the port of Le Brusc and the Gaoua landscaped walk runs along the lagoon opposite Les Embiez. Embiez. This protected site, rich in flora and fauna, leads to the Gaou peninsula, a natural jewel between sea and secret coves. A botanical trail dotted with signs reveals unique vegetation, such as the anemomorphic pines sculpted by the wind. Explore this peaceful place, which feels like the end of the world, while respecting nature.
Saint-Mandrier, a walk around the peninsula
– Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer
The Saint-Mandrier coastal path links the village to Saint-Asile beach. Between wild beaches, the ochre cliffs of Marégau and shady pines, the walk offers splendid panoramas of the Deux Frères rocks and Cap Sicié. Along the way, discover the military remains that recall the peninsula’s strategic role at the entrance to Toulon harbor.

From Mount Salva à Notre-Dame-du-Maithis challenging hike on the Cap Sicié massif promises breathtaking views. Between sea and forest, enjoy a 360° panorama: the first relief of the Cassis creeks, the Hyères islands, the Toulon harbor, the Toulon mountains, Les Embiez and the blue immensity of the Mediterranean. A demanding route, but a grandiose spectacle at the summit.

This section of the coastal path alternates between seafront and balcony paths, with views over the harbor, Saint-Mandrier and old villas. We recommend a break at Plage de la Mitre, a popular spot for Toulon locals to watch the boats. The route leads to the port of Saint-Louis, with the option of extending to the beaches of Mourillon, the Méjean or Magaud coves and their fishermen’s cottages.

– Ollioules
From the heights of Ollioules, this hike reveals spectacular views of the Destel gorges, theÉvenos sandstones, the Pipaudon fort and, all the way to the sea: the Cassis creeks, the Toulon roadstead, the islands of Les Embiez and Porquerolles. At the summit, discover the restored Gros Cerveau, a military fort built in 1890, before descending through forest, garrigue and scree.
Châteauvallon, panoramas and the Chappe telegraph
– Ollioules
From Châteauvallon, set off along the GR51 paths to discover the Chappe telegraph, witness to a glorious military past. Between limestone screes and spectacular viewpoints, admire Évenos, the Pipaudon fort, the Toulon roadstead, Giens and Les Embiez. The descent through the Croupatier massif offers superb panoramic views of the Ollioules gorges before bringing the hike to a close.
Château de Tourris, from La Tourravelle
– Le Revest-les-Eaux
Cross the Tourravelle natural area and its restanques steeped in history. From the Col des Bouisses, enjoy a unique panorama of the Revest dam, Mont Caume, Mont Coudon and Mont Faron. The wild, undulating trail leads to the remains of a sheepfold, the Château de Tourris and Mont Combe.

– Le Pradet
A hike full of surprises between sea and nature. From the heights of Le Pradet, admire sublime panoramas: the Giens peninsula, the double tombolo de l’Almanarre, Toulon harbor and Cap Sicié in the distance. The trail winds through Mediterranean vegetation and rocky landscapes, with their unusual red hues. You’ll pass by the Musée de la Mine, a site unique in France for its mineralogical treasures.
