A boat tour of Toulon’s harbor is a must if you want to understand the city’s maritime identity. This guided cruise allows you to discover, from the sea, the natural environment of the harbor, with the hills that overlook it, as well as its exceptional military heritage.
Departing from the port of Toulon, the navigation takes you close to the imposing ships of the French Navy docked there, including the aircraft carrier Charles-de-Gaulle when present. You’ll also sail past the fortifications that protect the harbor, the Arsenal that has marked Toulon’s history since the XVIIᵉ century, the mussel beds in the Bay of Lazaret, the fishermen’s and mussel farmers’ huts, the marine cemetery and the Saint-Mandrier peninsula.
Throughout the tour, the captain comments on the navigation and shares anecdotes and explanations for an accessible and enriching discovery.
