Cross the harbor by waterbus
In Provence Méditerranée, there’s no metro, and public transport is (also) by boat! To get from Les Sablettes to Toulon, take the Mistral shuttle service. Sail into the Bay of Tamaris, past the picturesque shellfish huts and fortifications that surround the Toulon roadstead, before reaching the port of Toulon in just a few minutes.

Lunch break on Toulon harbour

Toulon cable car, take to the skies!
Unique on the Mediterranean coast, the cable car is one of Toulon’s landmarks. To reach the summit of Mount Faron, aboard the little red cabin, you fly over the immensity of the city and the harbor, the slopes of limestone and pine forest. Please note: the cable car is open from mid-February to mid-November.

Bus, waterbus, cable car: the points of interest detailed in this suggested day trip are easily accessible and require very little walking between them.
Please note, however, that the cable car is open from mid-February to mid-November. During its closed season, the Provence Landing Memorial remains open, but is only accessible by road, by car.
