Stroll in Six-Fours les plages

One day, many ideas

Six-Fours, a multi-faceted town

We offer you an escapade between nature and culture from one end of Six-Fours-Les-plages to the other . In the heart of the town, by the sea or in the forest of Cap Sicié, you can visit emblematic sites such as the Maison du Cygne or the Villa Simone, which host contemporary art exhibitions, the Parc de la Méditerranée and its panoramic view over the bay of Sanary or the Ile des Embiez, or the Notre Dame du Mai chapel. Nature or culture, why choose?

Stroll along Bonnegrâce beach

You can start your stroll at Bonnegrâce beach. The deep-blue, sometimes rough sea, the waterfront cafés and restaurants, the busy promenade and the tall palm trees give it a touch of California. Or rather, “Varlifornia”. Families, sports enthusiasts, dog owners – everyone loves a stroll here. On Sunday mornings, a large market takes place close to the beach, giving you the opportunity to fill your basket with fresh produce or souvenirs from Provence.

Explore the parc de la Méditerranée

Renovated in 2024, the Parc de la Méditerranée blends garden, nature and art. Built like a belvedere overlooking the sea, you’ll enjoy the exhibitions at the Cap Nègre battery, the children’s playgrounds, the skate park, the ponds and fountains, the show garden or a simple break under the pine trees overlooking the sea. Alongside the coastal path, this park is a true tribute to the Mediterranean.

Lunch break on the Coudoulière harbour

You’ve seen it from the Parc de la Méditerranée, the Coudoulière marina is the perfect place to stop for lunch in one of the restaurants on the harbor and beach side, or on the other side of the road. Or why not take a picnic break on La Coudoulière beach. You can then walk to your next stop, the Maison du Cygne, along the greenway between the port and the Bois de la Coudoulière.

Panorama from Notre Dame du Mai

Running right through the heart of the Cap Sicié massif, line 81 of the Mistral network takes you to one of the jewels of the region, Notre Dame du Mai. It’s not so much the chapel, which is only open at certain times of the year, but the splendid view of the Mediterranean Sea that makes it worth the detour. It’s true that the last kilometer from the bus terminus is a long climb, but once you reach the top, you can’t help but marvel at the 360° view. From the calanques of Cassis to the islands of Hyères, via Les Embiez and the Toulon roadstead, you won’t remain indifferent. An unmissable part of your stay in Provence-Mediterranean.
