A salty family adventure

In the heart of the Pesquiers salt marshes, follow the incredible transformation of a former fishing pond into a salt production site. Between sun, sea and know-how, discover how the white gold was harvested here for over a century.

Recognized as one of the most remarkable natural areas on the Var coast, the Hyères salt flats are fragile natural spaces that provide a stopover for migratory birds and shelter for sedentary ones.

A visit designed for the curious young and old, where we talk trades, traditions, crystals… and where birds sometimes make a surprise appearance.

En voiture : prendre direction le port/presqu’île de Giens. Après le panneau La Capte, vous pouvez vous garer sur le parking à côté de la poterie ou plus loin vers le village. L’entrée au salin se fera par la passerelle située à hauteur de l’arrêt de bus La Capte.
