Visit to Fort Sainte-Agathe and the Bonheur mill
Following an itinerary of several exhibition rooms, including the permanent exhibition ” Porquerolles, an island to live “, the tour covers various themes in keeping with the island’s heritage and the values of the national park: the architecture of Fort Sainte-Agathe, the history of the island of Porquerolles, the island’s flora and fauna, and the missions of the national park. The tour ends at the top of the artillery tower, with a study of the surrounding landscape. This last stop will allow you to take some superb photos of the Hyères roadstead (approx. 1h30).

In the heart of the city center, the Musée de Hyères, La Banque, musée des Cultures et du Paysage, is reborn in the majestic former annex of the Banque de France, a remarkable neoclassical and art deco space dating from the early 20th century.
The collections are housed in the former apartment of the bank’s director and in the vault. Two unique places to contemplate theevolution of the town and its coastline, through the eyes of artists, but also through architectural know-how and changes.
On the first floor, temporary exhibitions follow one another through the seasons.

Olbia archaeological site
Situated on a slight promontory by the sea, Olbia is the only surviving example, preserved in its entirety, of a network of Greek fortress-colonies founded by Marseilles from the 4th century BC onwards.
Citizens of Marseilles, the first Olbians were soldier-colonists, fishermen and farmers, whose main mission was to secure maritime trade.
The remains uncovered allow visitors to understand theurban evolution of an ancient city over 1000 years. Fortifications, streets with sewers and sidewalks, collective wells, housing blocks divided into houses, stores, baths, sanctuaries…
The remains of a medieval abbey, Saint-Pierre de l’Almanarre, have also been discovered on the site.
