Niel Museum
In the port du Niel, in the heart of a landscaped garden, a 1962 villa houses part of Jean-Noël Drouin’s painting collection, after two years of renovation.
A private exhibition space, the Musée du Niel is dedicated to forms of artistic expression from the second half of the 20th century, notably non-figuration and abstraction in post-war France (1945-1965).
Each year, a new thematic exhibition testifies to the vitality of works from this exceptional creative period, featuring such singular and emblematic artists as Jean-Michel Atlan, Martin Barré, Olivier Debré, Jean Dewasne, Maurice Estève, Oscar Gauthier, Hans Hartung, Jean Le Moal, Jean Miotte, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Gérard Schneider, Pierre Soulages, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Gérard Vulliamy…
