La Seyne, through the ages

La Seyne-sur-Mer

Created by the separation from Six-Fours-les-Plages in 1658, this small fishing hamlet became a port offering shelter to its inhabitants.
La Seyne-sur-Mer ‘s maritime vocation then evolved with the creation of its famous shipbuilding yards.

You’ll visit this charming Provencal village, which has managed to preserve its identity, with its colorful facades, Genoese cornices, Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Voyage church and lively market.
The tour ends with a magnificent panoramic view of the harbor from the Chantiers Bridge (40 meters high).
