Fort Balaguier

Built in 1634 and later reinforced by Vauban, this cannon tower protects Toulon’s harbour by crossing its lights with those of the Tour Royale.
In July 2022, the fort, now a museum, will be transformed and turned towards the underwater world.

In this building, listed as a Historic Monument since 1973, discover several immersive displays and an exhibition on scuba diving.

During your visit to Fort Balaguier, the pilot site for the Neptune project, you’ll benefit from the digital tools made available by the Sud PACA region, and from partnerships with the French Navy, IFREMER and the Louvre.
