D-Day and Liberation of Provence Memorial

In Toulon, the Mount Faron Memorial, dedicated to the D-Day landings and the Liberation of Provence, is one of the Ministry of Defense’s nine national memorial sites.

With an exceptional panorama of the Var coast, the memorial is equipped with the latest advances in historical research and new technologies to immerse visitors in the heart of the Provence Landings and the events of the summer of 44.

The new D-Day museum tour features 600 m² of exhibition space, with 200 collectors’ items and a host of multimedia tools to help visitors understand this historic event, which is little-known to the general public.
