After touring France, Italy and Moldavia, and opening the Carnivals of Venice and Milan, the Amata Compagnie is ready to set the OLLIOULES stage alight.
We'll take you to Venice to celebrate the rebirth of the Théâtre Populaire, where you'll find the emblematic characters of the Commedia Dell'Arte. The old grocer Pantalone, his daughter Fiordalise, the courtesan Isabelle, the proud Captain, the maid Gelsomina and, of course, our eternal servant Harlequin will be there to make you sing, dance, laugh and see all the colors!
The use of masks, repeated theatrical stunts, lazzi, dances, songs and pantomimes characterize this theatrical opera, which ties in with the purest tradition of Commedia dell'Arte.
