With *La Mare où [l’]on se Mire*, Chiendent-Théâtre blurs the lines between a lecture, object theater, and a grand miniature opera. Norbert arrives at the last minute, laden with his equipment, convinced that this performance is merely a stepping stone to his future masterpiece. Little by little, the model comes to life, the ducks respond, the story goes off the rails, and the imagination takes center stage. Behind the laughter lies a tenderness for those who undertake immense projects with minimal resources. A fragile and whimsical moment, where we find ourselves hoping that Norbert, too, will take flight.
