We watch him sheepishly as his first plays are put together, and as he grows up in the face of the production of his own shows, which he ends up directing entirely.
We witness his rehearsal sessions, facing the immense actors he was lucky enough to direct: Sarah Bernhardt, Constant Coquelin, Lucien Guitry... exhausted by his doubts and questions.
The scenes are often an opportunity to hear the most beautiful passages of his plays through the main characters, Cyrano, l'Aiglon, the animals of Chantecler... Epic-performance performed by a single actor, accompanied by a backing musician. A dreamlike, poetic work that tells the story of a poet and theater inventor.
