A new work by Guillaume Mika that blends comedy and fantasy. Drawing on collaborations with researchers, this play explores how sound reveals our relationship with living things. Author and director Guillaume Mika seeks to foster a dialogue between the arts and the sciences in his productions. After presenting two of his works at the Théâtre Denis, he returns this season with this sensory and experimental comedy.
This production takes us into a cave to discover a mysterious phenomenon. Ambre, a bioacoustician, records abnormal bat ultrasound activity in an unexplored cave. An expedition is organized with two speleologists. But once inside the cave, there is no sign of bats. Instead, a strange and fascinating sound phenomenon captivates them.
Theatrical performance and scientific devices come together in this closed-door production. An incident occurs, trapping them inside the cave. To survive, the three characters set out to decipher this enigmatic echo. Little by little, a hypothesis emerges: what if this reverberation dates back to the dawn of time?
