And it's all in cleverness, precisely, that this show ingeniously traverses and explores the life and work of the famous playwright. Through a fast-paced narrative, this play traces Jean-Baptiste Poquelin's career: his rejection of the upholsterer's trade, his difficult beginnings as a tragic actor, his tours of the provinces, his dazzling (and controversial) success in Paris.

We meet key figures from his era, such as his father, Montfleury, the Prince de Conti, Louis XIV, Lully and Racine, as well as courtiers and doctors. The show combines dialogues and scenes inspired by her plays, giving a lively, colorful hue to her story. Performed by three actors and a musician, this spirited and mischievous performance celebrates the legacy of an unforgettable and timeless master of the theater.
