Performance: "Bonaparte's Capture of La Seyne to Liberate Toulon in 1793"
Original! First of all, because there’s only one actor on stage. But also because the main character is, in fact, the town of La Seyne and its historical heritage. People come and go, but the stones remain.

The challenge was to create a show that would keep the audience on the edge of their seats for over an hour and a quarter while staying true to the facts—without letting the technical details of the military operations bore the audience after just 20 minutes. We had to infuse it with a touch of humor mixed with nostalgia—the very sentiment likely felt by the participants in this great epic. The town of La Seyne is the birthplace of those who laid the foundation for an imperial throne that would dominate the contemporary history of the world. I believe we have met all these criteria.
