From Victor Hugo’s rich novel, Roland Petit crafts a colorful epic that is as theatrical as it is intense. Between Esmeralda, who is in love with Captain Phoebus; Frollo, tormented by his desire; and the hunchback Quasimodo, a tragic story unfolds before a fickle crowd that swings between joy and cruelty.
