Hyères

5 bis rue Portalet 83400 Hyeres - galerie LM STUDIO - 83400 Hyères

The design duo is showcasing its approach to promoting local resources in two
exhibitions in Hyères this summer, alongside the Design Parade: “Quercus Suber” at the Villa
Noailles and “Les Moires” at the LM Studio gallery
“Les Moires” Exhibition, at LM Studio, 5 bis rue du Portalet, Wednesday, June 24 through Sunday, June 28,
2026—open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Les Moires installation unfolds like a visual
and kinetic symphony, bringing the LM Studio to life with its
hypnotic and colorful movement.
It consists of intricately crafted columns made of a
delicate material that turns out to be recycled paper.
This installation is the result of an original approach
that enables the creation of graphic works as well as
decorative objects using recycled
cellulose waste.
It follows on from the work begun with “Mondes Parallèles,”
currently on view at La Crypte in Cagnes-sur-Mer.
Alongside its creations, the studio shares its
expertise through creative workshops called “Papermix,”
aimed at raising awareness about recycling while
developing technical and artistic skills.

“Cork Skin,” first prize winner of the Quercus Suber 2026 competition, presented at the exhibition of the same
name at Villa Noailles, 47 Montée Noailles, from June 25 to August 30, 2026

With their handcrafted cork agglomerate, the
design duo has invented a new aesthetic for cork,
based on a low-energy manufacturing process that
uses no petrochemicals.
Through their work to repurpose byproducts from
the cork industry, a new horizon is emerging for this
material deeply rooted in the heritage of the Var region.

Bio

Jérémy Gaudibert and Marie Fournier are the
designers with interdisciplinary backgrounds who
make up the JaM studio.
Marie, a designer and engineer, pays
particular attention to material efficiency.
Jérémy, a designer and dancer, approaches design
through the body and movement.
Their creative chemistry was evident from the moment they
met at the École Nationale Supérieure de Création
Industrielle in Paris (ENSCI les Ateliers). In 2021,
following the sale of their first pieces of furniture,
they founded the JaM studio (short for Jérémy & Marie) between St.
Paul de Vence and Helsinki.

The studio develops an environmentally conscious design practice.
The challenge of reducing the ecological impact of their work fuels the duo’s creativity. As a result, they
develop new design processes, create their own materials, and highlight
natural colors and textures.
Their work has been exhibited in several museums and trade shows in the South region of France and has been the focus
of several research residencies in Helsinki and Gardanne.
