This photographic work is a quest for origins, for territories untouched by the modern world: majestic landscapes, ancestral peoples and wild fauna make up a mosaic of unspoiled nature. From polar regions to arid deserts, from tropical forests to icy mountains, Salgado reveals the raw beauty of our planet.
This exhibition introduces us to landscapes, animals and peoples that have escaped the contemporary world. It showcases those vast and remote regions where, untouched and silent, nature still reigns in all its majesty.
You can drink in the splendor of the polar regions, tropical forests, savannahs, torrid deserts, glacier-dominated mountains and lonely islands. While some climates are too cold or arid for most forms of life, in other regions we'll find animals and peoples who couldn't survive without this isolation.
The Genesis photographs aim to reveal this beauty. The "Genesis" exhibition is a tribute to the fragility of a planet we all have a duty to protect.
