Sentier du littoral – Balade du Brusc à Notre-Dame du Mai

Route 2 - Balcony Walk

Starting point: Port du Brusc (you can also start from Pointe du Mouret)
End point: Notre-Dame du Mai

[From point 1 to point 4, the suggested route follows the road]

1) From the Port of Brusc, follow the coastal road toward Le Gaou (southwest).

2) At the end of the straight stretch, in the bay’s cove, turn left (south) just before the water sports center onto Chemin du Gros Pin, which climbs up to the former French Navy Sea Trials Center.

3) To the left of this facility, head toward Mont Salva by following the yellow markings on the road.

4) When you reach an intersection, turn right onto Route de la Lèque.

5) Then, at the end of the straight stretch, in the curve, take the middle dirt path, “Chemin des Cargadoux.”
You’ll then take the coastal trail as soon as you see a gate on a dirt path to your right.
You’ll reach Notre-Dame du Mai after passing through Le Genévrier,

6) The trail continues southeast and crosses two small valleys. It winds to the right until it reaches the tip of the Eperon and follows the top of the cliff to a fork in the trail.

7) Follow a yellow-marked trail to the left to reach Notre-Dame du Mai, perched on its rocky outcrop at an altitude of over 300 meters.

8) You’ll take a trail that climbs through shaded woodland and then follows the cliff ridge, offering you a magnificent panoramic view.

9) Phew! You’re almost at the summit. You’ll come across an orientation map, then it’s the final stretch to reach my chapel, Notre-Dame du Mai.
The chapel is open every year throughout the month of May, and May 1st is marked by a pilgrimage featuring a procession up the hill.
