Close to the city center, in the historic Chateaubriand district, you'll discover a grand neoclassical residence dating from 1880, with an exotic garden overlooking the sea. On the street side, the house is very discreet, but as soon as you pass through the entrance gate, an astonishing universe opens up: a labyrinthine garden offers a mythical atmosphere with its antique statues, frescoes, mirrors, water features and secret alcoves. Dating from the 19th century, this exceptional residence boasts 600m² of living space, three levels and 7 bedrooms in all. It features a vast atrium-style reception room.
Several terraces followed by stone steps leading down to a large swimming pool (16m x 4m) lined with gigantic cacti surprise the visitor. The rest of the garden is planted with Mediterranean and exotic species, including pines, cypresses, palms, citrus trees, kumquats, rubber trees and giant cacti.
With the acquisition of the Villa by TPM and its designation as a "center of art of national interest", you'll soon be able to visit this exotic garden with its several terraces. Hardly visible from the street, this garden, planted with Mediterranean species, surprises visitors with its frescoes, mirrors, water features and secret alcoves. You'll come across a fig tree embracing the balustrades, cactus several meters high, cypresses with a very specific role, water features and fountains...
