On the trail of the smugglers

Toulon

Clinging to the cliff, this path offers a beautiful view of the Toulon harbor, the Giens peninsula, Cap de Carqueiranne and Saint-Mandrier.

Accessible to all, this section of the coastal path does have a few tricky sections where the elderly and young children will need help.

THINGS TO SEE ALONG THE WAY
- Royal Tower
- Fort Saint Louis
- Pointus boats anchored at Fort St Louis
- Mourillon beaches
- Anse Méjean and Anse Magaud

Attention
After the Mourillon beaches, a section is closed to pedestrian traffic by municipal bylaw under the Cap Brun residence as far as the area to the right of the Chemin de la Batterie Basse staircase due to landslides following the bad weather of December 2014. A signposted bypass route is now operational.
