[2022 Edition]

1) Once you’ve parked at the Badine parking lot, the starting point is on the beach. Follow the path that winds between the rocks and a bunker, then take the stairs.

2) After passing by two coves, you’ll cross a field of dead Posidonia sea grass accumulated on the beach; be careful not to damage it.

3) After passing in front of the Etat (currently off-limits to the public), take the paved path on your right, which will lead you to the Tour Fondue site.

For casual hikers, the walk ends here; for those up for a challenge, there are still a few more hours of walking ahead.

4) Follow the coastline lined with Provençal reeds to reach the small gravel beach at Pradeau; at the far end on the right, you’ll find a clearing in the vegetation offering a magnificent view of Petit Ribaud Island.

5) After cooling off in one of the coves, temporarily leave the trail to take Avenue des Cyprès on your left; turn right at the gate and continue your walk toward the Port du Niel.

6) Before reaching the port, take Avenue des Sternes, then the stairs on your right. Once past the gate, continue your walk through fields of lavender, Spanish broom, and Balearic honeysuckle.

7) Finally, you’ll look out over a magnificent cove with turquoise water and arrive at Darboussières Beach, your destination.
