Le Grand Hôtel" building

Toulon

Built in 1870 on the Place de la Liberté, the Grand Hôtel was requisitioned during WW2 and used as the Préfecture Maritime from 1944 onwards. Once home to a cinema, it now houses the Théâtre Liberté and private housing.

It closed its doors for good as a hotel in 1997.
