Hiking trails in the Thouars forest park

This exceptional site, a veritable green lung for Garda, was restored in early 2001 by the association Les amis du Coudon, in the form of integration projects.
Today, beneficiaries of minimum social benefits, recruited by the Gardenne association Vie Var Insertion Environement, a partner of the commune, work under the direction of the technical services.

A walking area: three footpaths with different levels of difficulty, for the young, the brave and the daredevil, introduce visitors to the natural heritage.

A discovery zone: a botanical trail punctuated by some forty explanatory panels on Mediterranean flora offers visitors an educational walk.

A historical zone: the ruins of the forgotten Provencal bastide farmhouse have been brought to life.

A geographical zone: the unobstructed viewpoint at the top of the hill offers walkers a magnificent panorama of La Garde. Footpaths, staircases and stone terraces have been laid out to make the most of this protected area.
