Escampobariou diving spot

Hyères

Pointe Escampobariou means "escaped from the drums" in Provençal. It's a beautiful, well-known dive, sheltered from the wind.

FAUNA AND FLORA:
This cape, already naturally agitated in good weather, can be transformed by strong winds into a very dangerous navigational area, badly affecting boats and their cargo!
But don't worry, the mooring platform is well sheltered in its cove!
Contemplate for a moment the Posidonia meadows amid the scree, then push south, cliff on your right, and pass 2 points. Here, at around 18 metres, you come to a chimney. Can you go through it? Yes, and you come out at 12 metres! Further on, you're sure to see an abundance of octopus and sars, which have taken up residence near a drop-off.

WE LOVE :
- octopus
- Posidonia meadows
