Educational farm dedicated to environmental awareness. Exhibitions, lectures, guided tours and workshops are organized throughout the year.

The Écoferme départementale de la Barre is a 2-hectare sensitive natural area in the heart of Toulon, listed as a nature information point and a refuge by the French League for the Protection of Birds.

The site is open to schools, social and medical organizations, associations, leisure centers and the general public. As a place to educate and raise awareness of sustainable development, it invites visitors to reconnect with the natural environment, in order to better preserve it.

- By bus / Mistral network, lines 9, 39 Tourraine and 14 juillet stops

- By car: A 57 freeway
. From Toulon, exit at Le Pradet, La Palasse
. From Hyères, take the Cap Brun exit, then head for La Palasse.

Opened in 2000, the site houses an 18th-century bastide surrounded by 4 large areas: the farm, the discovery gardens, the liberty gardens & the gardens to cultivate.
The gardens and farm are open to all, free of charge.
Schools (cycles 2, 3 & 4), associations, specialized schools and Var leisure centers welcome on reservation.

Opening

Every day throughout the year between 9 am and 5 pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th. Special night-time openings on Fridays in July and August, from 6pm to 11:30pm.
