The 1st battery was reorganized under Louis Philippe 1er (1846-50). Exhibition area.
The battery is a military coastal defense structure. Its advantageous position between the Bay of Sanary and the Le Brusc roadstead gives it an essential role in protecting the Toulon coastline.

From 01/01 to 31/12/2024, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: open Closed on public holidays.
