Jean d'Ormesson Library
La Crau
The La Crau library is run by an association under the law of 1901. Its aim is to enable members to borrow or consult a wide range of works in all categories of literature.
At the front desk, you’ll find staff—mostly volunteers—who can:
- provide information on membership and borrowing policies.
- recommend books for you.
- register your loans and collect the loan fee.
In the adult sections, you’ll find all kinds of books: novels, mysteries, fiction, nonfiction, magazines, historical accounts, scientific works, adult comics, and more...
Children have their own dedicated area, where they’ll find age-appropriate books (for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest), comic books, and places to browse these materials while their parents choose their own books.
Two computer stations are also available to members so they can freely browse the internet.
Please note: The Jean D’Ormesson Library will be closed exceptionally for the duration of La Fête de La Crau, from Wednesday, July 1, to Tuesday, July 7, 2026, due to the presence of carnival rides directly adjacent to the building.
