Their creations are tributes and unabashed reverences to the masters of jazz, spiced up with influences from world music.
From Duke to Monk, from Louis Armstrong to Ornette Coleman, from America to Africa, Giacchi-Meridiano's deep roots in the art are sublimated by Ghio's dizzying playing.
With an extraordinary range of expression, from gentle swaying to devastating swing, from soothing serenity to frenetic bubbling: what can emerge from this encounter? Nothing less than excitement, surprise, exaltation, movement, life; in short, constantly renewed joy.
