The Provence M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e Tourist Office strives to have the value of its quality, economic, social, environmental and cultural commitments recognized through national commitments, brands, labels and certifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Provence M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat (CEC) :<\/strong>
Tourism is a major economic sector for our region. Not only does it generate direct financial spin-offs, but it also provides numerous facilities and activities, benefiting local residents on a daily basis.
In order to ensure that this activity continues in a way that is environmentally sound, has a positive impact on the climate, and is in harmony with the local population, the Provence M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e Tourist Office has decided to embark on a major initiative<\/strong> aimed at thoroughly re-examining its actions, in conjunction with its stakeholders.

In April, the Tourist Office joined the Provence M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat<\/a> (CEC)<\/strong>. This public-interest association, born out of the Citizens’ Climate Convention, brings together companies of all sizes and from a wide range of sectors, working together to imagine and develop new economic models that are both sustainable and respectful of the living world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

“Qualit\u00e9 Tourisme”<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Provence M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e Tourist Office has been awarded the Qualit\u00e9 Tourisme label for all its reception and information services. Qualit\u00e9 Tourisme is a registered trademark created by the French government, which establishes service quality criteria throughout the customer relationship, before, during and after the stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

port-cros national park<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Created in 1963, Port-Cros National Park<\/a> is Europe’s first marine park. In Provence M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, it includes Hy\u00e8res and its islands, as well as the communes of Le Pradet and La Garde. Its role is central to the protection and preservation of flora and fauna, both on land and at sea. Throughout the year, the park carries out a wide range of activities to raise awareness of our eco-system.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

natura 2000<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Mont Caume and Mont Faron, Cap Sici\u00e9, the Brusc lagoon, the roadstead and islands of Hy\u00e8res and the Hy\u00e8res and Pesquiers salt marshes are all Natura 2000 sites. This classification lists European natural sites, identified for the rarity or fragility of the wild species and natural environments they shelter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

the pelagos sanctuary<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The Pelagos sanctuary, a vast area between the French, Italian and Sardinian coasts, aims to implement concerted actions between these three countries to protect the marine mammals that inhabit these waters.
