The village of Le Revest-les-Eaux is a true postcard of Provence: its central, friendly square is the starting point for a maze of cobbled streets that climb up to the medieval tower. Lake and dam<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Overlooked by hills covered in Aleppo pines and oaks, the emerald lake inspires calm and contemplation. Created in 1912 with the commissioning of the Dardennes dam and fed by submerged springs, this Natura 2000 listed site is a peaceful paradise for fishing enthusiasts. A popular place to relax and stroll for local people and visitors alike, the undergrowth bordering the lake is one of the starting points for hikes in the surrounding hills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
