    RCT highlights<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Rugby Club Toulonnais was founded in 1908 by players from small local teams, who from 1920 had their own stadium, the Stade Mayol, donated by the Toulon singer of the same name. The RCT went from strength to strength in the rankings, until it won its first Brennus Shield in 1931. He then enjoyed a quieter period until the mid-80s, when coach Daniel Herrero took over the reins of the lily of the valley XV. After a2nd<\/sup> victory in the French championship, RCT then experienced a more complicated period in the second division. Its rebirth in 2006 with the arrival of Mourad Boudjellal at its helm has taken the Rouge et Noir to the very top. With each new national and international recruit, Rugby Club Toulonnais has become a veritable dream team in the world of rugby.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

    A brilliant track record<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Since its first victory in the French championship in 1931, RCT has won no fewer than 25 titles in national and European challenges (Top 14, Challenge Cup, Pro D2). Four-time champions of France and Europe, finalists in numerous tournaments, the Rouge et Noir have made Toulon proud by bringing the famous Brennus shield back to the harbor.     Some of the greatest names in rugby have forever marked the destiny of the RCT and contributed to its legend. Past and present examples include Jonny Wilkinson, Eric Champ, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Gallion, the Herrero brothers, Matt Giteau, Carl Hayman, Joe Van Niekerk, Eric Melville, Juan Lobbe and Christian Carrere. Toulon’s residents are usually full of praise when they hear the names of these personalities, and are passionate about reliving the emotions of great matches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

    In 2020, the RCT acquired a new, modern infrastructure to offer players and staff the ideal conditions for training and development. In the Sainte-Musse district of Toulon, the site is home to the RCT Campus<\/a>, a training and education center as well as a place for sharing and teaching the Red and Black rugby culture. The Club House and the Brasserie du Muguet, with its plunging view over the pitch, complete the 4,000 m\u00b2 dedicated to the success of the teams and the gathering of the RCT community.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
